Hints on how you can exactly identify the model name of your device

In general valid: For nearly all devices, device identification plates with the exact model number, can be found somewhere on the device.
Here you find examples, where this device identification plate could be found and which numbers identify your equipment .

If you do not find an appliance in the data base and you are sending us an inquiry, please send all (!) numbers from the device identification plate. This helps us to investigate the equipment for you.

tv TV/ TV components

Usually on the back of the device (bottom or in the middle).

In this case the manufacturer would be METEC and the model number TV100, view fig. [1]. The name multimedia is only the model name. As a rule this is not sufficient to identify the device clearly.

camera Video-Cameras

Usually on the back of the device.

In this case the manufacturer would be Panasonic and the model number NVVS40EG, view fig. [1].
The serial number in the fig. Serial No. 1 , is not suitable for identifying the device.

hifi HiFi-devices

Usually on the back of the device.

In this case the manufacturer would be Panasonic and the model number RXDS303, view fig. [1].


cellphones Cell-Phones

Mostly within the device underneath the accumulator!
As a rule, you have to open the device and take out the accumulator first, in order to be able to read the type sign.

In this case the manufacturer would be Nokia and the model number is623, view fig.[1.]

The numbers [2, [3 or [4] are not suited to identify the device.

monitor Computer monitor

Mostly on the back of the device.

In this case the manufacturer would be Hitachi and the model number isCM2098ME, view fig.[1.]

The number [2] is not suited to identify the device

camera Digital cameras

Usually on the lower surface of the device.

In this case the manufacturer would be Olympus and the model number C220ZOOM, view fig. [1].


printer Printer

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the lower surface, on the back or behind a flap. In this case the manufacturer would be Kyocera and the model number FS3820N, which can be looked for, view fig. [1].

The serial number [2] is not suitable for identifying the device.

tft TFT-panels

Usually on the back of the device. In this case the manufacturer would be Hyundai and the model number L70S, view fig. [1].

If you are unable to find something, you can also try it with [2] or [4]. .
[3] and [5] are not suitable for the identification.

copier Copier

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the lower surface, the back or behind a flap.

In this case the manufacturer would be Ricoh and the model number 1022 or Aficio1022 (!) view fig. [1].

cooker Cooker & Baking-ovens

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the lower surface, the back or behind a flap.

In this case the manufacturer would be Bauknecht.
For the model number the following designations may be applicable:
[1] Model number
[2] Ident-Nr.
[3] F-Nr. [4] Service number

It is important it to identify the model exactly,especially with larger devices of household technology . Thus try out, in doubt, all numbers!

flatiron Flat iron

Usually on the back of the equipment.

In this case the manufacturer would be Krups and the model number 4346, view fig. [1].


dishwasher Dish washer

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the side, behind a flap , or on the rear wall.
In this case the manufacturer would be Bauknecht and the model number GSU3252DWS, view fig. [1].


coffemachine Coffee machines & Electrical small devices

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the side, behind a flap , or on the rear wall.

In this case the manufacturer would be Siemens and the model number TC91110002 view fig. [1]. With some devices the model number is also called E-NR.

microwave Microwave

Usually on the back of the equipment.

In this case the manufacturer would be Philips and the model number AKB110PH, view fig. [1].

[2] and [3] are not suitable for the identification.

refrigerator Refrigerators

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the side, behind a flap , or on the rear wall.

In this case the manufacturer would be Bosch and the model number KUR184202, view fig. [1].

washingmachine Washingmachine & Dryer

Here one must possibly look for the device identification plate. It can sometimes be hidden on the side, behind a flap , or on the rear wall.

In this case the manufacturer would be AEG and the model number 607621022, view fig. [1].


[2] can also be searched, e.g. with Lavatherm730. Usually, however, the E-NR. or F-NR. are better suitable to determine the device.

remote Enter model number of the device which belongs to the remote, so e.g. the model number of your TV, also see the very top of a constituent from your device
